Dear Eden Fractal community,

I'm thrilled to invite everyone to join us for Eden Fractal's 120th event on Wednesday, May 22nd at 17 UTC as we return from our spring break! I hope you all enjoyed the break and am looking forward to reconnecting with you at this week’s event. This gathering marks a pivotal moment in our journey – the final event of Epoch 1 before we officially launch Epoch 2 on June 5th.

As we reach 120 events spanning nearly three years, we've accomplished remarkable things together. We've inspired dozens of communities, engaged over 80 participants with many becoming deeply dedicated contributors, produced hundreds of hours of educational content, and established a clear vision and mission for implementing fractal decision-making processes throughout society. While reaching this milestone marks the end of an era for Epoch 1, I'm incredibly excited about the foundations we've built that position us for exponential growth in Epoch 2.

Over the break, significant progress has been made within the fractal ecosystem. Most notably, Tadas has built an impressive ORDAO Fractal app that provides a comprehensive front end for voting with Respect tokens to execute onchain transactions, and he successfully launched the ORDAO Fractal community over the break. Our migration to Base and Ethereum is nearly complete, positioning us optimally within the broader ecosystem.

Our 120th event will focus on several key areas:

  • Reconnecting and sharing community updates from the break
  • Reviewing our Epoch 2 implementation plan and addressing remaining tasks
  • Finalizing plans for the Respect Game relaunch and Eden Town Hall revival
  • Planning our 3-year anniversary celebrations for upcoming June events
  • Reflecting on our Epoch 1 journey and achievements

Epoch 2 represents an exciting new chapter where we'll start playing the Respect Game again to foster contributions to the fractal ecosystem, deploy our governance systems on Base, and create opportunities for past participants to claim their Epoch 1 Respect tokens. This transition to Ethereum and the Optimism Superchain positions us perfectly to advance our mission of implementing fractal decision-making processes throughout society.

To prepare for the upcoming epoch, I encourage everyone to explore the Epoch 2 implementation plan and our most recent event videos. You can find our rough agenda for the meeting and additional resources linked for our upcoming meeting linked here as well — feel free to suggest anything else you’d like to discuss here in the chat or at tomorrow’s meeting.

I can't wait to reconnect with everyone and plan this important transition together. There's much to do before our June 5th launch, and your input is invaluable as we finalize these preparations. As always, you can RSVP on the Optimystics event calendar. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts at the event!

Dear ƒractally community,

I'm thrilled to invite everyone to join us for Eden Fractal's 120th event on Wednesday, May 22nd at 17 UTC as we return from our spring break! This gathering marks a pivotal moment in our journey – the final event of Epoch 1 before we officially launch Epoch 2 on June 5th!

This is a significant moment for the broader ƒractally ecosystem. The Eden Fractal community, which has been carrying forward the fractal democracy vision from the Genesis Fractal and ƒractally whitepaper for nearly three years, has accomplished remarkable things together.

Over the break, we've made substantial progress implementing the tools and processes for fractal democracy. Most notably, Tadas has built an impressive ORDAO Fractal app that provides a comprehensive front end for voting with Respect tokens to execute onchain transactions, and he successfully launched the ORDAO Fractal community, bringing us closer to the autonomous, democratic coordination systems we've all been working toward.

Epoch 2 represents an exciting new chapter where the Eden Fractal community will start playing the Respect Game again to foster contributions to the fractal ecosystem, deploy fully functional ORDAO governance on Base, and create opportunities for early pioneers in fractal democracy to engage with Eden Fractal governance. This transition to Ethereum and the Optimism Superchain positions us perfectly to advance our mission of implementing fractal decision-making processes throughout society, representing a significant step forward for practical implementation of ƒractally concepts in thriving, sustainable communities.

To prepare for the upcoming epoch, I encourage everyone to explore the Epoch 2 implementation plan and the most recent Eden Fractal videos. Your insights and participation would be invaluable as we bridge our foundational work with this next phase of growth. I hope to reconnect with everyone and am looking forward to planning this important transition together. There's much to do before our June 5th launch, and your input is invaluable as we finalize these preparations.

As always, you can RSVP on the Optimystics event calendar. You can find an agenda for the meeting and additional resources linked here as well — feel free to suggest anything else you’d like to discuss here in the chat or at tomorrow’s meeting. Looking forward to connecting with you!

Dear Optimism Fractal community,

I'm thrilled to invite everyone to join us for Eden Fractal's 120th event on Wednesday, May 22nd at 17 UTC as we return from our spring break! This gathering marks a pivotal moment in our journey – the final event of Epoch 1 before we officially launch Epoch 2 on June 5th!

As the community that pioneered many of the governance innovations we use at Optimism Fractal, Eden Fractal is now preparing to deploy similar ORDAO systems on Base (part of the Superchain!). As we reach 120 events spanning nearly three years, we've accomplished remarkable things together. We've inspired dozens of fractal communities, engaged over 80 participants with many becoming deeply dedicated contributors, produced hundreds of hours of educational content, and established a clear vision and mission for implementing fractal decision-making processes throughout society. While reaching this milestone marks the end of an era for Epoch 1, I'm incredibly excited about the foundations we've built that position us for exponential growth in Epoch 2.

Over the break, significant progress was made on superchain-compatible infrastructure. Most notably, Tadas has built an impressive ORDAO Fractal app that provides a comprehensive front end for voting with respect tokens to execute onchain transactions, and he successfully launched the ORDAO Fractal community over the break. Eden Fractal's move to Base positions both communities to benefit from enhanced coordination tools and shared governance innovations, creating exciting opportunities for interoperability and cross-community collaboration.

Epoch 2 represents an exciting new chapter where the Eden Fractal community will start playing the Respect Game again to foster contributions to the fractal ecosystem, deploy ORDAO governance on Base, and create integration opportunities with Optimism Fractal through superchain infrastructure. This transition to Ethereum and the Superchain strengthens the broader fractal ecosystem and creates more opportunities for builders working across the Superchain.

You can find our an agenda for the meeting and additional resources linked here as well — feel free to suggest anything else you’d like to discuss here in the chat or at tomorrow’s meeting. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts at the event!

Dear Optimism Fractal community,

I wanted to share exciting news about Eden Fractal's major transition as we conclude Epoch 1 and prepare for Epoch 2 launch on June 5th! Join us for event #120 on Wednesday, May 22nd at 17 UTC.

As our sister community that pioneered many of the governance innovations we use at Optimism Fractal, Eden Fractal is now deploying similar ORDAO systems on Base (part of the Superchain!). This creates exciting opportunities for interoperability and cross-community collaboration.

During the break, significant progress was made on superchain-compatible infrastructure. Eden Fractal's move to Base positions both communities to benefit from enhanced coordination tools and shared governance innovations.

Eden Fractal's Epoch 2 will feature:

  • Respect Game implementation using proven processes from Optimism Fractal
  • ORDAO governance deployment on Base with similar council structures
  • Eden Town Hall revival with respect-weighted participation (like our Town Hall model)
  • Integration opportunities with Optimism Fractal through superchain infrastructure

This strengthens the broader fractal ecosystem and creates more opportunities for builders working across the Superchain. Several Optimism Fractal community members have been involved in Eden Fractal's planning and would benefit from these developments.

You're welcome to join and learn more about how these parallel implementations can enhance both communities. RSVP on the Optimystics event calendar!

Dear Eden Fractal community,

I hope you all enjoyed the break! I'm thrilled to invite everyone to join us for Eden Fractal's 120th event on Wednesday, May 22nd at 17 UTC as we return from our strategic break! This gathering marks a pivotal moment in our journey – the final event of Epoch 1 before we officially launch Epoch 2 on June 5th.

As we reach 120 events spanning nearly three years, we've accomplished remarkable things together. We've inspired dozens of fractal communities, engaged approximately 80 dedicated participants, and established a clear vision for implementing fractal decision-making processes throughout society. While this milestone is somewhat bittersweet as we conclude Epoch 1, I'm incredibly excited about the foundations we've built that position us for exponential growth in Epoch 2.

During our break, significant progress has been made within the fractal ecosystem. Tadas has built an impressive ORDAO Fractal app that provides a comprehensive front end for voting with respect tokens. Jacob has made substantial progress on superchain interoperability features.

Epoch 2 represents an exciting new chapter where we'll relaunch the Respect Game after an 18-month hiatus, deploy our governance systems on Base/Ethereum, and create opportunities for past participants to claim their Epoch 1 respect tokens. This transition to Ethereum and the superchain positions us perfectly to advance our mission of implementing fractal decision-making processes throughout society.

To prepare for this discussion, I encourage everyone to review:

    • Respect Distribution
      • does it make sense to honor genesis fractal respect in eden fractal governance via ordao?
        • these were very aligned with our current mission, foundational to our work, and many great contributors there who may appreciate the opportunity to get more involved and be able to use their respect. also perhaps could make governance of eden fractal more decentralized and dynamic?
      • does it make sense to distribute respect for event participation in the weeks 75-120 too?
        • if we do honor genesis fractal, i think it also makes sense to honor eden 75-120. these were foundational and very important for eden fractal. plus it would be helpful to balance governance power with more recent contributors to eden fractal (ie zaal, EZ, rosmari, eric, etc)
      • perhaps should these be decided by the eden fractal community via ordao?
        • this way it honors eden fractal community first and inherits the legitimacy according to respect game distribution, but also provides fairness and accuracy in contributions
        • i think it makes sense for eden fractal to seriously consider and probably approve these proposals, though it doesn’t need to be immediate
        • it prob makes sense to create seperate ordao’s for genesis fractal and for Eden Fractal 75-120 so its not confused with the original eden fractal distribution, then a separate aggregate ORDAO which combines them all. this way all of these communities could be still independent or rewarded separately too with evolution structure
          • is this multiple ordao approach technically difficult? any way to prevent receiving of funds? or maybe any funds can be automatically sent back or sent to nonprofit?
