TP76: Eden Fractal’s mission is to grow fractal communities
I believe this mission succinctly explains the inherent mission of Eden Fractal

Benefits
It does so in an artful way, about *growing*
It is simple, simple wins
It does not exclude participants or contributions who have been earning respect from community members
It makes it wide but narrow enough to focus attention on the most important aspect
It encompasses much of the previous proposed goals in a simple and wholesome way
Provides value to all fractal communities and fulfills a need for a leading fractal community
Notes
The mission can always be changed in the future, though i recommend keeping it the same for at least one full season
The mission becomes more specific via the intents, which may change at a more frequent cadence
Eventually we’ll also write a vision, similar to optimism.io/vision but more focused on fractals
Eventually we can also add values and more

Define Fractal community
- A fractal is a community that plays the Respect Game to coordinate and accomplish their goals
- A fractal community plays the respect game in recurring meetings to collaborate
- Is there a better way to write this?
Consider Alternative Mission focused on Respect Game
- For example, the mission could be to promote the adoption of the respect game
- Overall i think just growing fractal communities is best as this has been the most mimetic so far and that is where the winds are blowing, but focusing more on the respect game has it’s benefits and is simpler in a way since playing the respect game is how we define fractal communities i suppose either could work
How to Define a Mission (Notes from EF 75)
- The following notes were written on phone while listening to EF 75
Serve a need for fractals
Set as an example for other fractals to replicate and copy
Figure out what the other fractals need, then start the season with a clear mission statement to fulfill that need
Research and identify List of problems of fractals, then prioritize the biggest issues and solve them with the seasonal intents. Most groups don’t know what they need , but they can tell you what their problems are with the right questions and you can figure it out from there
Issues include: Onboarding issues, education, tooling…
Servant leadership- being of service to people who want to grow communities
