EF 48: Signaling Alien Worlds

In our 48th meeting, we explore a pioneering proposal for Alien Worlds and signal our consensus opinion that Lisa & Duane should be custodians on Planet Eyeke ✨

Recommending Lisa and Duane

In this week’s Eden Fractal meeting we formed unanimous consensus that Lisa and Duane should be custodians on Planet Eyeke. Ten people people voted yes in the Consortium Poll (including all 8 current Eden Fractal delegates) and you can see the consensus posted on-chain here. You can also see the spreadsheet that we use to more easily see votes from each delegate here and the on-chain account where we post delegate elections here to see the full consensus.

The Alien Worlds proposal was the main topic of discussion during this week’s Cagendas game and it was also a frequent topic during our breakout room in the beginning of the video. Explains his perspective on this fractal process.we should be opportunistic to help grow this fractal. Reaching consensus doesn’t require us to have a mission statement. We’re not forcing people to take votes. At the end of the day, you’re trying to inspire interest. He asks Perry who are your customers that you feel you need this mission statement.his understanding is we’re trying to establish a framework process. This is a massive opportunity

1:55:17 Pascal voted yes based on faith of this community. Does think having a mission is important, we don’t need it today but we should have. Eden fractal is a community of community. We’re moving in the right direction. We need to define ourself as a dao.

2:01:51 Perry thinks it’s fair question to ask if anyone may be potentially compensated by this action. Lisa responds to Perry. Discussion on possible funding Lisa and Dan explain possibilities of funding. This proposal is just an opinion. People who get elected as custodians get funding to distribute as they choose to. Goes into details on what custodians can do. Potential rewards in the future. We’re voting as individuals in a group.

2:06:48 Gnome responds to Perry, to the question are you being compensated. In his situation he is pledging funds to help community. His intent is willing to invest his money to develop alien world and Eden fractal. Important as a group to recognize opportunities. Alien world is actually our first customer, wonderful opportunity. At the end of the day, it’s just a proposal. You don’t have to vote, don’t have to be too formal at this stage.

Perry comments individuals are being paid privately, it’s violating the integrity of our group in his opinion. Gives his opinion on these donations. Gnome chimes in to what he wants to fund, Perry goes on again about where funding should be going. Gnome responds to Perry, at end of the day this is a good example of how we can influence other communities. Some people are watching what we’re doing, they are interested in our project. Wording could have been more transparent, he’s much more interested in the outcome. Significant funds might be available for tooling, this is how things should work. You should be trying to get funding for your work. The guys at alien world have money and they want us to build it.

2:27:49 Lisa thinks most of you are aware that she invited many from alien works to come to Eden fractal. Trying to align these communities , to govern resources together. Exciting to see the growth. Details this grand experiment to integrate the best practices. The goal as Lisa sees it to get as many people as possible on the planet to see it. We need to fund this or that project to develop and improve. Glad fractally process is available to help with this project.

Thinks Perry is being quite antagonistic, using words as bastardization. If funds are being sent to Eden fractal account that would be compromising the group. Sent link about fractally white paper. The actions you’re sharing are actually things that make our community less autonomous.

2:39:11 Gnome would like to discuss what we’re doing. Would like to collaborate with people. Doesn’t mind the antagonism, sometimes it’s needed. Need to discuss why it matters. There’s a big overlap between two communities, the two communities want the same thing. Wants to develop software that will automate a lot of these things that are happening right now. If you have proposals that may be needed he invites anyone to submit their proposal.

2:47:30 Dan responds to Perry regarding bylaws and missions, you can make a proposal. That’s your mission, not everyone else agrees. Hopes Perry will adjust behavior, it’s bad when others in community feel uncomfortable. We’re trying to cooperate and make experience possible. Perry responds with his feeling uncomfortable with people being paid outside of fractally. Dan commented your projecting your opinion on others, cuts off conversation with Perry

2:51:51 Rosmari expresses what she thinks about meeting, agrees with what Dan was saying. This is not personal, how we can work as a team. How we as a group can reach consensus faster. This is more to guide Perry, your derailing conversation to your thoughts. You’re probably better to make a proposal for your topic. Not sure if we’ve ever agreed a specific way to receive funding outside of group, what you’re saying is just your personal opinion. Does not see this as being brought up as being a problem. You mentioned you don’t see focus of our group, not sure how he can see funding as a problem. Your comments are conflict of opinions. Getting tired with mission questions every time, most of us in our hearts know what the mission is.

Would like everyone to respond to his poll so that there is a signs, that tells others that this is a minority.
