Highlights
Introducing Tropics, the exciting new Cagendas game that simplifies the agenda architecture for real-time coordination during Eden Fractal events! Check out the full article on edencreators.com/tropics for all the details. Tropics is a follow-up to the 'Future of Cagendas' episode, where the group brainstormed ideas to improve the topics proposal flow. Join the fun and sync up for creative collaboration! 🌺 🦒
The mini-game agenda helps participants suggest topics and vote on them in real-time using the Slido app. The game is meant to simplify the agenda architecture of the topic process and empower users to suggest upvote on topics in real-time. The Tropics game is introduced at 0:08, and later on discussed in-depth, alongside Notion, starting at 59:41 with a brief conclusion at 2:11:25.
Notion is used to support the Tropics mini-game so other participants can write topics, which are then transferred to the Slido app. Notion’s workflow, set up process and user access is discussed widely from 59:41 - 1:28:26. Dan and the team demonstrate how the Tropics game work at 1:28:26 - 1:37:54. This is followed up by a group discussion on security risks and use cases at 1:39:01 - 1:45:32.
During the mini-game Tropics, Respect Trees gets chosen by players as the topic with most upvotes at 1:48:12. Respect Trees are a new primitive that uses community respect points with a simple tree structure to organize group thoughts, track priorities, achieve shared goals. This concept’s article was initially presented during Eden Fractal 60 at 1:05:19 by Tadas.
Some recent updates in process are that Dan is working on a Respect Trees article, whilst Rosmari works on the release of the latest DEFS episode, which would uncover more details on Respect Trees with a special guest, the builder himself - Tadas! 👷🏼♂️🔧
We also touch up on more exciting topics, such as the Gitcoin GG18 at 1:45:32, EOS pausing their funding program for Pomelo with a last season funded during 44:00, Eden On EOS group discussions at 1:56:29 and a quick background overview on Cagendas and Consortium at 2:06:12.
Enjoy!
