Updating the Eden.Fractal Account
After two weeks of deliberation, we approved three proposals to update the eden.fractal account permissions! 🎉
The Eden Fractal delegates unanimously voted to approve proposals that Dan Singjoy made to update the owner, active, and morpheus permissions on the eden.fractal eos account. You can click the links in the previous sentence to see IPFS documents with the new signatories, configurations, and thresholds that were approved for each of these permissions. Updating this community account was the main topic of discussion from our previous two meetings, as you can see in our show notes from EF 64 and EF 65. The proposal was also communicated prior to the meeting in a telegram message to the group and was the main topic of the cagendas game in the meeting.
After Dan presented the topic on the Eden Fractal msig between 52:00 - 1:03:00, he explained the concept of updating owner permissions, which sparked a group discussion on Consortium votes and the implications of the proposal. Discussions included topics such as thresholds, details on Morpheus permissions, owner permissions notifications, and the potential risks associated with low thresholds. Dan announced that all three proposals were unanimously approved at 1:41:58, indicating consensus within the community. This news was met with enthusiasm and led to further discussions on the next steps for Eden Fractal. Growing with Optimism
After the delegates approved proposals to update the msig account, Dan Singjoy shared an exciting presentation introducing Optimism to the Eden Fractal community. The Optimism Collective is a new type of community designed to reward public goods and build a sustainable future for the open internet. Optimism is a pioneering Ethereum L2 community that is highly aligned with Eden Fractal’s values for creating public goods and improving human coordination for everyone’s benefit!

The introductory presentation provides an overview of brilliant innovations from The Optimism Collective, including RetroPGF, Superchain, and the Optimistic Vision. The Optimism Fractal proposal aims to empower the Optimism ecosystem with the next generation of collaborative games, tools, and shows pioneered by Eden Fractal and ƒractally. In addition to helping Optimism, the proposal aims to empower all communities with tools for fractal consensus games and independent cooperation on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (or EVM) and OP Stack, which are the world’s leading software infrastructures for decentralized computing. These presentations set the stage for many fascinating community discussions about the synergies between Eden Fractal and the Optimism ecosystem.

Respect Game Recap
In the breakout rooms starting at 9:33, Dan and Lisa had an inspiring conversation about testing Gnomes game called Dynamics of Hegemony. Gnome has played a leadership role in many Eden Fractal meetings and helped form the Alien Worlds Fractal. They shared their thoughts and insights on the game, as well as engage in a general conversation about games with Noam. At 22:18, Noam shared updates on working with NASA program to design orbits from Earth to Mars, while he aims to make a game out of it in the science committee in Eyeke. He’s thinking about sharing it with Joe and other players to test it. He talked to one of the NASA designers, whilst thinking about how to make the best parameters and orbit designs to gamify it further. Noam helped Gnome with Dynamics of Hegemony through providing comments on how to improve the game, whilst testing it and encouraging other players to join the fun!
At 25:10, Lisa shared contributions in attending the Fractalien Worlds and Eden fractal meetings. She brought up the amazing idea of incorporating fractals into a new game and explored consensus-building mechanisms. She proposed using the Eden fractal as a genesis point and elaborated on different aspects of fractal setups. This sparked an engaging conversation where players shared their thoughts and suggestions, contributing to the brainstorming process.
Dan gave a presentation on the main topic of Optimism at 30:37. He discussed his work on the website, community growth, plans to start an Optimism fractal, and improvements to Jitsi and Notion projects. He also mentioned hosting the Fractalien Worlds meeting and working on proposals for it, also attending the weekly Aquadac fractal meeting.
