Hey all,
Here is an update about the permissions on the eden.fractal eos account:
In our 66th meeting, the Eden+Fractal delegates approved three proposals to change the permissions on the eden.fractal account. These proposals will update the owner, active, and morpheus permissions with a new set of configurations, signatories, and thresholds that will be required to make changes to the eden.fractal account in the future. You can see the consortium proposals, IPFS links, and timestamps for the video where we made these decisions in the show notes for our 66th episode. You can also explore the show notes for Eden Fractal meetings 64 and 65 for more detailed overviewed of the discussions that led to these decisions. For more information about MSIGs (or multi-signatory accounts) and our previous deliberations about the eden.fractal account permissions, you can also review this comprehensive article.
Last week I had some issues proposing the changes onchain to officially update the account permissions, so Vlad kindly created an onchain MSIG proposal for us to update the eden.fractal permissions as the delegates approved. Vlad and I both approved the onchain proposal and now we need two more of the current signatories on the owner permission to approve it to change the permissions, so I will reach out to James Mart and Patrick today to ask them to approve the MSIG proposal. Once we reach the 4/6 threshold required to update the owner permission, then we will be able to execute the proposal to officially change the permissions after a two day delay. I’ll share an update here when the permissions are officially changed onchain or when more relevant information is available.
On a related note, I haven’t yet proposed the MSIGs for the distribution of Eden Respect and EOS for the past few weeks because the eden.fractal account permissions were changing, so I will propose these MSIGs when the permissions are officially updated with new signatories. Please feel free to share any questions or comments. Thank you to everyone who helped us update the permissions on the account and trailblaze the future of community permissions for everyone’s benefit!
